Embroider a wearable piece of art. This metal thread brooch is a simple, pretty design, which covers two basic techniques of metal thread work – couching with pearl purl and embellishing with ‘chips’. It is an ideal starting point for launching an exciting journey into Goldwork and all its many possibilities,
as well as a talking point whenever and wherever you wear it.
There is a choice of background colours (cream, burgundy, dark blue or black)
and metal threads (gilt, silver or copper) – please specify when booking.
Suitable for beginners.
The class kit will include everything you require to complete the project. You may like to bring your own embroidery scissors and you will be able to borrow ring frames, magnifiers and lights (if needed) on the day.
